So we have been in Greece for almost 3 weeks now and we can't get over how blessed we are. We have an amazing branch, a great apartment, lots of places to see & a fabulous group of new friends. The time has flown and we are still figuring everything out, but all in all we are lucky to be where we are. Our friends the Johnsen's & the Nelson's have really taken us newbies under thier wings and made the crazy transition from S. Korea, to home, to here so easy! We are very grateful for them and our other "basketball" pals, as well as the amazing brothers & sisters from the branch.
This last week particularly has been a blast. I have had a chance to "get to know" our new camera(Canon Powershot SX20 IS, which I love love love & recomend it to anyone!). I went to a fun ladies lunch, had a yummy branch pot luck & the two big highlights had to be a wonderful breakfast-for-dinner at the Johnsen's (Thank You Lindsey!) & we also visited Attica Zoological park.
The zoo was great, it was nice to walk around in just a light jacket & enjoy the fresh air as well as good company! Above are some pictures of the zoo & below are some links for more pictures of Athens as well as our fun at the zoo.
